Write for the Blog

Do you have a passion for writing?

Do you have an interest in student mental health and awareness?

Are you interested in writing for a blog?

Are you currently a student at UOIT or a Alumni interested in sharing your experiences?

If you answered yes to all of the above, look no further!

UOIT Student Mental Health Services (SMHS) is looking for students interested in writing weekly/monthly blog posts. SMHS is open to the types of topics that can be written. By becoming a blogger for this website, your posts have the opportunity to inform the population at UOIT about mental health issues. By simply writing a small blog post, you not only become a published author and have something to add to your resume, but you are also giving others a perspective of someone who’s dealt with mental health issues in a way they may have never seen or understood before.

If you are interested in becoming a blogger for the UOIT Student Mental Health Services blog, please send an email to studentlifeline@uoit.ca with the following information:

1. Your name (you will create an anonymous username when posting)

2. Your email address (please use your uoit.net email address)

3. Your student ID number (for department use only – confidential)

4. Post topic (optional)

5. How often you would like to post (optional)

A representative will email you back with further information, and that means you are one step closer to becoming a blogger!

Please read over the blog guidelines at https://uoitmentalhealth.wordpress.com/2015/04/08/blog-community-guidelines/

If you have any questions, please contact the studentlifeline@uoit.ca.

Let's discuss this.
